+31 Method for surrounding yourself with the right post-lottery team?

It's pretty well established that any lottery winner should find a number of professionals (e.g. lawyer, financial/estate planner, etc.) that could help said winner make the 'right' decisions for their goal(s). Considering what happened with the 'lottery lawyer' Jay Kurland, what are your tips/ideas for finding people with integrity/ethics? What other qualities (if any) would you look for and what methods would you use to test/search for those qualities?

+38 @_that___guy Choose a large law firm in a major metro area that has well-established estate planning, trusts, and tax law practice areas. Ask if you can talk to a partner attorney. Go to a second reputable firm that does estate law and contract law and hire a pair of senior attorneys from this second firm to accompany you in your dealings with the "main" firm to review their work. No need to be overly paranoid. But no need to be naive and get taken advantage of, either. Abide by the rule of "trust, but verify." Get a financial planning firm that has good references, and several billion dollars under management. That firm can help direct the efforts of your financial planning and investment team. Have an outside accounting firm audit the records and transactions. Basically build a team that can mange your team.
