+42 Giving back after winning the jackpot

Do you have plans to give back in forms of charity, starting a foundation, or maybe to Church after winning the jackpot?

I’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas as to where you’re wanting to share your blessings

+19 @LPNTed Family, friends... That's pretty much it.

+17 @ThrowawayLDS_7gen I would not give to a church per se, but probably a food bank or homeless shelter if there was enough to do that.

+14 @DoverBoys I would definitely bless a few charities and foundations doing things I align with. I won't waste it on churches though, I don't want to be responsible for the pastor's new car.

+11 @SailorTodd I plan on putting 20% of the pre-tax winnings into a donor-advised fund and identifying a handful of charities I will support on an ongoing basis through it. The benefit of a DAF is the immediate tax deduction on the winnings while allowing some time to identify the right places to donate to.

+10 @throwawayfromPA1701 I'm starting a scholarship foundation for certain trades and academic majors. If I win enough, it'd be 10 full tuition scholarships a year. I have this written down somewhere. Some other charity here and there. None of them church related though. Sorry, but I live in the US and see what their public face is right now, fair or not.
