If I were Filthy Rich
By Howard_Aura+40 Would you rather have a tiny chance at a big prize or a decent chance at a small one?
Was thinking about this today. I play Powerball when its big and I know realistically it’s just for fun. The odds are sht, but I like the dream part of it.
There are also apps that give free entries for smaller prizes (I assume they make money from ads), and then stuff like scratch-offs where you can actually win a few bucks.
For some reason though they don't hit the same for me. I think I like the idea of a tiny chance at something huge more than a decent chance at a small win.
Anyone else feel the same way?

+46 @KrAff2010 I play to enjoy the fantasy of having generational wealth. Winning $10,000 isn’t nearly as fun and wouldn’t change my life hardly at all
+16 @Terradactyl87 The issue I have with the smaller prizes is that usually there's actually a larger cash investment. Scratchers have far better odds as there's a set amount printed with a set number of guaranteed prizes, which you can check online to see what's technically got the best odds. The the decent prizes are for scratchers that cost $30-$50 each. I spend a total of $9 a week on lottery draw tickets. I don't mind so much when I spend $3 on tickets and don't win, but if I'd spent $20 and got nothing, I'd be pretty annoyed.
+12 @bunnyswan Tiny chance at a bid prize is an investment in the fantasy. I'ts not my job
