If I were Filthy Rich
By fmhobbs+44 IIWTL
I don't have to win the $1.8 billion lottery to be happy. But, I would want to clear $100 million. I would start a few businesses that would help pay me in the long run. I would like a Brazilian steak house, a Dave and Busters-like bowling alley, an international buffet, and a tiny cabin rental village.
I would buy a nice house in the country on some acreage with a pond. I've wanted a McClaren and a Rolls Royce or a Bentley (all probably used). I would upgrade my wardrobe also. 50% of my winnings would be invested so that I could live off the interest. I would probably throw away a few (hundred) thousand (up to 1%) on stupid stuff. 10% would be donated. $100k would be given to select family members (siblings, step-siblings, in-laws, and children (yearly)).
With the annual dividens, I would vacation for months at a time and make donations and investments to help others all over the world. I would buy a few million in life insurance also for my wife and children. I would also put the invested amount in a trust to pay my family for generations to come.
I just wanted to put this in writing mostly for myself in order to have a plan if I should actually win one day. I do have an attorney and an accountant but, I do need to get a financial planner to help me, several have solicited me already because of my job.

+17 @revanchist70 Yeah..... I'm not working another day in my life! The ONLY business I would even consider opening is a doggy daycare so I can chill with the puppers all day long!
+10 @r117sr Good luck to you and to all the rest! Remember to protect your identity where you can.
