If I were Filthy Rich
By TheWalkingDead91+85 What wouldn’t you buy? Who would you leave out?
1.6B….over 400M post tax. We all know what we’d buy if we won…… But what popular thing/service/membership etc wouldn’t you buy if you hit it big on Monday (or for any other massive win), that you feel most people would buy?
Also who in your family/friends would you leave out of helping out?

+162 @Dinglebutterball No private jets… no ridiculous mansions… no yachts… no designer clothes or jewelry… no lambos…
+36 @zamboniman46 No private jet, no yacht. Much better to just rent if you're so inclined. No crazy expensive cars. Like don't get me wrong I'll have luxury vehicles, but I won't be getting any Lambos or Ferraris
+35 @Cid_Darkwing Living in a no income tax state, I’ve got nearly an extra 50M to work with… My plan has always been: 10% for me, no one can say shit. Same for my wife. A third 10% to live everyday life off of and a fourth 10% to help friends and family. We’ve always agreed that the best way to do it was a college/first house fund for the nieces/nephews, a jubilee for the brothers and sisters, and the retirement of their choosing for our parents. There’s a *lot* of cousins, so we’d probably be less generous to them, but still a mid sized gift. The other 60% goes to a wealth management firm where any withdrawals require both of our signatures. As far as stuff, there’s one vacation home at a place we often spend a week during summer that I’ve always wanted. But beyond that, it would be more purchasing investment properties than it would be about having a residence I’d spend any appreciable amount of time in. Same with cars; one nice upper-middle class ride, maybe a truck if we want to drive to the mountains. I’d rather spend the money on experiences and getting/staying in great shape to live as long as I can.
+34 @throwawayfromPA1701 I won't buy dumb shit. Most of it is getting invested conservatively. I am going to buy a couple houses though. One primary residence, one vacation retreat. I actually have it all planned out lol.
+25 @Adventurous-Depth984 Wouldn’t give Iump sums to anyone
+25 @wuvvtwuewuvv You mean 1.6*B*. Over 420 million after taxes for my state. I was really interested in getting a private island, but after talking about it with chatgpt, I'm beginning to think it's not worth it lol. I definitely won't be getting a membership to the Epstein Club.
+20 @Ruthless4u Leave out my in-laws, they berate my wife then demand/beg for help. Only big purchase would be land. No yachts, supercars, jewelry. That stuff is useless to me.
+18 @BabiesatemydingoNSW No mansion. No Gulfstream. No megayacht. No $300k+ exotic sports car. Don't need to draw attention to myself.
+16 @scdiputs Its crazy that 1.6B turns into 400m. I want my 1.6B!!!!
+14 @BlueRFR3100 No private islands.
+11 @luckylimper I wouldn’t buy my own plane or boat. Too much maintenance for how much you’d use it.
