If I were Filthy Rich
By wegotthisonekidmongo+115 How many houses would you buy if you won $300 million after tax?
I think I would get two houses. I would like to be able to spend summer all year long in each location. What I mean by that is staying in one location for the summertime and then when it becomes winter there go to my other house and spend summer there and alternating back and forth. I wouldn't mind buying a house in another country also. But at this point in my life I'm 50 years old and I would just like peace of mind and quiet. Something with a lot of land too. Where and what would you guys get? I'm thinking the East Coast and West Coast and then maybe something in europe. Hope you guys win!

+41 @Beginning_Lifeguard7 I can barely stand the headaches of owning one house, why would I want two? If I wanted to spend any amount of time somewhere I’d just do short term rentals. I’ve been reading about how the very rich live their lives and many just rent. That frees their money for investments instead of tying it up in a house they only used part time.
+29 @splittestguy Two: One where I currently live - but with more land and space. One in my home country. Then I’d just rent/airbnb when traveling. I don’t care to go back to the same place regularly, but rather see the world.

+12 @HalfwaydonewithEarth None. I would rent beach houses.... With that much money owning stuff would be pointless.
+11 @themadprofessor1976 Just one. It would be the perfect house, fully decked out to my needs and desires, but only one. If I take trips to different places, I can stay in a hotel or, at worst, rent an AirBnB or short term apartment lease, but I only need one place to call home.
