By Successful_Fruit_418+72 What’s the excuse for suddenly owning a fleet of supercars?
If I ever won I already have a 5 car garage lineup planned out. Cars I would buy immediately. I get the whole “stay low key, hide your winnings” idea and honestly I would be fine living in a modest house. I am in a city so that is not really an issue anyway.
But here is the problem. How do you explain suddenly owning multiple supercars? Like what excuse actually works? And please do not say “just get a Camry.” The whole point of winning is being able to finally buy the stuff you have always dreamed of. For me that is 5 variations of Porsches and other supercars.

+46 @synecdokidoki Rich people don't make these excuses. Most rich people aren't Elon and Bezos, they aren't famous for their wealth. Most people worth even $100 million, don't say a damn thing about where their money came from. Seriously, that's the real answer to this question. People are going to want to know where your money came from, and those people are going to have to get out of your life. The skill is learning how to get them out, not how to lie to them. If you were suddenly that wealthy, and you find yourself having to explain where it came from, don't look for the perfect excuse, just consider why you're explaining it.

+16 @silentsights Ah yes, I’ve finally found my people. I’ve also fantasized for years about the five cars I would purchase upon winning, and I realize that super cars aren’t it. Instead I’d go one tier below: you’d catch me in some top level Cadillacs and BMW’s rather than some Ferrari’s and Lamborghinis. Much easier to pass those off with no explanation than just suddenly showing around my friends in a 458 Italia lol

+11 @EmphasisOutside9728 Buy a garage or compound on the other side of town to keep them. Drive your everyday car there to use them. Drive around, do your thing, and try not to run into anyone you know. If you do run into someone, your rich cousin is visiting from Kalamazoo and let you borrow it.
