If I were Filthy Rich
By Any-Morning4303+108 My biggest fear is finding the wrong lawyer and getting conned.
I’m an avid options trader and used to work as an analyst in finance. No fear is money management or dealing with financial advisors. My fear is finding a trusted lawyer who isn’t gonna fuck anything up or rob me blind.
How would you guys be finding a lawyer. Surely not from ads on Google.

+59 @Inevitable_Cat_7878 Definitely not ads from Google. But the answer depends on how much you won. If you won the big one ($1.1 billion Powerball), go find a national/International law firm that has a wealth management division. They handle many clients worth a lot of money, typically north of $100 million net worth. They won't mess around. I do recall someone posted a checklist in this sub some time ago.
+23 @mgillette55 I saw just recently in this sub, go to a large national firm. They won't risk their license trying to con or steal since their job day in day out is to deal with high net worth clients. You won't look any different.
+21 @TheLizardKing89 Don’t let your lawyer manage your money. They aren’t trained to do that.
+15 @chefmorg I believe the lottery office, if you ask them, has lists of trusted people to work with. Personally, ask rich people. They know.
+11 @Beginning_Lifeguard7 The solution is rather straight forward, one of your team members needs to be an auditing firm that keeps track of the lawyers, accountants, etc.
