If I were Filthy Rich
By Laundry0615+84 Keep your job: yes or no.
Why or why not? Tell us more.
I'm retired now, but when I was working I used to daydream about winning the lottery. I'd rent an airplane to fly over the buildings at lunchtime when everyone is out and about. The plane would be trailing a sign that says "take this job and shove it".

+84 @ThatCoolSportsGuy Hell to.the no.
+62 @some12345thing Are you crazy? The moment I won I would throw my laptop into traffic.
+61 @BlueRFR3100 The moment the money hits my bank is the moment my resignation hits my supervisor's desk.
+59 @YouWillHaveThat People say they’ll keep their job. Some of them even do for a bit. But the first time someone makes you do some bullshit, you’re done. Imagine someone bitching at you at work while you are making $20k/day on your municipal bonds.
+29 @TheLizardKing89 The whole point of winning (for me anyway) would be to never work again.
+27 @RipErRiley Heck nah. I may do volunteer work tho
+21 @Russandol Nah, I'd rather volunteer and get involved in things that help my community instead of working for a business that makes money sucking people dry.
+20 @SexyWampa Fuck no. I don't even know if I could make it the three months before I get my check before I quit.
+20 @Comfortable_Rent_659 I’ll be going back to school full-time, no track in mind, no end goal, just whatever tickles me, or challenges me, or find fascinating. Accounting? Yes. Acting class? Yes. Ikebana? Of course. Bike repair? No doubt. Sewing? Jewelry design? Russian lit? Full works of Proust? Bet. Container gardening? Filmmaking? Fashion design? Contemporary dance? Wood shop? All of it.
+18 @TravellingBeard If I won $50-250k, I'd still work. Anything more and I could retire to an inexpensive country. Something massive and I could retire to an expensive country.
+13 @SoThereWasThis Only til the check clears. Then I’m pulling a customer service purge day til either they tell me to log off the phones or 6pm hits
+12 @Routine-Difficulty69 I'm a Paleontologist, which has been my dream job ever since I was a kid. Unfortunately, it's an On-Call position, so I don't get much work. That said, if I were to find myself loaded with millions, I wouldn't quit my gig.
+11 @AnticitizenPrime I've never played the lottery once, I'm here because I like reading people's fantasies. I do play those fantasies in my head. I do like my job, I like my boss and the people I work with, I even like my company. But I'd like to travel the globe indefinitely even more, and see a different part of the world every day. It's not that I don't like my work, but there's things I'd rather do. I would rather be in a chalet in Switzerland than a conference call about a new software requirements discussion or whatever. I wouldn't hard quit and show them my ass, I'd give them proper notice to get someone trained in in my place, out of respect for the good experience I've had over the years.
