If I were Filthy Rich
By microwave-coffee+69 How I would upgrade my life with a lottery winning
If I had $10M, this is how I would spend. Actually this doesn't even take $10M, it would be fine even with $3M as principle creating passive interest.
Health and wellness:
- Personal trainer three times a week. Yes I can work out on my own but I find better results and less mental bandwidth use or time wasted if I just have PTs. $1600 a month.
- Pilates or physical therapy twice a week as injury preventative and longevity purposes. $1000 a month.
- My own Pilates set up studio at home
- Massage twice a week, $1300 a month
- Med spa or facials once a month $200
- Stay blonde $150
- Eat whatever I want - paleo, highly quality and organic vegetables, grassfed and pasture raised animal products, wild game meats, fresh fish $800 a month
- Best supplements for muscle building and longevity like multivites, protein powder, collagen, antidiabetic supplements
- Annual blood test and hormone exams including things that usually aren't tested for by generic doctors, like insulin resistance, cortisol and ACTH levels.
Lifestyle and reducing friction and decision fatigue:
- Uber Black or taxi everywhere. I wouldn't want to drive or own a car. I don't really need a personal driver. If I want to drive a luxury car, just rent it for a day or two for the pleasure without the commitment. $200 a month
- First class flights on top of TSA Precheck
- Weekly housecleaner $750
- Rent a 3 bedroom apartment with amenities and great services. I don't need to have a mortgage or deal with homeowning responsibilities when I could be investing my money and having it grow. $4000
Socializing:
- Travel more, 2-3 international spots a year
- Membership in luxury gyms and social clubs instead of having a home gym $500
- Get coaches for hobbies and goals such as golf, tennis, art. About $1000 a month. I would hire an artist I admire and want to draw like, and make him teach me how to draw better, and when I draw my own stuff he needs to redline and critique me, and making me a better artist and teaching me and following me around is his full time job lmao
- Better wardrobe. Doesn't have to be all designer stuff but they better be good quality. Get a personal stylist consultation for my body shape, my color season, facial features. Buy more Zimmerman and Yvon dresses.

+26 @Nicedimples This is almost my exact ideal scenario as well, with the exception of the car and living situation. I want a house with a big yard for my dog and I would hate to have to wait for an Uber to run to the store or something. Isn’t it nuts to think about getting blood and hormone testing for preventative measures and eating good quality foods are goals for when we win the lottery? Those kinds of things should really be more easily accessible/ affordable 🥲
+13 @TheWalkingDead91 You had better add another 0 to that number sis. 3-10M isn’t enough for all of that. Even 10M is barely 400k/ year post tax at a whopping 8% annual earnings, if my math is correct. Lifestyle you described sounds like something someone making like at least double that could afford comfortably. So unless you’re working that money hard with real estate or other successful active/passive income endeavors, or you’re like 60 years old, then you’d be going broke before long.
