If I were Filthy Rich
By Joshua_was_taken+40 Small budget changes if you won the Jackpot?
The common question everyone ask is “what is the first thing you’re buying” or “what’s the first big purchase”, but I’m asking after all those things, what do you think are going to be your budget “busters”? Not big one-time purchases that are going to threaten bankruptcy, but those small month-over-month bills?
As an example: my subscriptions are going to skyrocket. I’m talking Adfree Hulu+, adfree Amazon Video, adfree YouTube, etc. (come to think of it I’ll try my hardest to never watch another ad again). I would finally get my chess.com diamond subscription. Mobile games: I’ll become a “whale” on whatever my favorite games are at the moment. And lottery tickets…of course, I’ll have to increase my budget for lottery tickets.
What’s yours?

+43 @gvillager Weekly house keeping/cleaning. Lawn care. Probably get my car detailed on a monthly basis. I'd be done buying lottery tickets. It wouldn't matter if I had $5 million or $5 billion I'd live pretty much the same. The only exception would be when I travel I'd fly in a private jet, not because it's nicer or more luxurious, it's because I don't like much people.
+19 @mzx380 Instead of buying a 3 bedroom house I’d buy a five bedroom. These days it feels like you need to win the lottery to afford a house anyway

+13 @BleedingTeal Something I’ll just call “generosity”. I’m likely to eat out at nicer places and give out _much_ better tips than the 20-30% I do now. $100 would be pretty much the minimum I’d tip going forward. Things like that would probably be a few grand a month. I’d be more inclined to buy small random things I see that remind me of people that are close to me which could be $10, could be $1k+. Idk. I’d always buy the best tires for my vehicles instead of getting what’s affordable or what simply fits the most need like all seasons.
