If I were Filthy Rich

I know some of you are thinking of Alanis Morissette song. What ironic situation have you thought of when buying your tickets?

I left my company's 20th anniversary party early to go back to the movie theater (I saw a movie before the party and was going back for a second movie, the benefits of the A-List program, but that's another subreddit.) On the way to the party and after I left I stopped at two different convenience stores to buy my tickets for the day. Wouldn't it have been ironic that the reason I was there to buy tickets at those locations, which lead me to win the Powerball or Texas Lotto, was because I was going to a company party, which I would be leaving after I won.

Can y'all think of any other ironic situations?

+33 @Zip_Silver It'd be ironic if you have an office pool, refuse to participate and buy your own tickets, only for the office pool to hit it and you're stuck working while they all retire early.
