If I were Filthy Rich

+30 Have you ever created a "win cute" story for yourself?

You were going about your normal business, not thinking about buying a lottery ticket at that moment; but through some chance events you end up at a location where you happen to buy the winning ticket.

"I wasn't going to clear those branches from the road; but them lying there blocking traffic made me feel some kind of way. So I turned around, parked and moved them off to the side so people didn't have to drive into oncoming traffic on the two-lane road to get around them. This just happened to be in front of the convenience store where I then bought my winning ticket."

+30 @whitetowellredshorts Ive tried waiting til the final moments to buy it so it feels like a rush for this exact reason. I do often picture myself saying “it was the first time I’d bought one” but I genuinely think the people who say that are lying through their teeth

+25 @Few_Consequence_8439 Here's mine. I always frequent a local corner store that had a good taqueria that served the best tacos in my city. While waiting for some tacos to be ready for me, I noticed the jackpots for the lottery was high and I decided to buy a ticket at the store. Since then, I've been enjoying more tacos without worrying about money ever again.

+15 @bahamapapa817 I always imagine winning in a state or city I’m visiting and the clerk saying good luck. Then me saying if I hit it big I’m giving you some. Then it’s a single mother who needs a car or something. So whenever I’m out of town I always buy one ticket.

+12 @Sure-Juggernaut-2215 Yes I make these stories up in my minds eye often haha, daydreaming

+11 @Spyderbeast I would like to be the quiet little old lady. Doesn't do anything flashy. No one knows I won. I don't have to pack up and move because everyone knows who I am and where I live. I can pay to get stuff done around my house and tip generously. I can spend my days spinning the wheel on GoFundMe and changing people's lives. And no one knows it's me

+10 @Daegog No, but this reminds me of advice. Should you win (and I hope you do), take time to write down everything that happened to you that day leading up to buying the ticket, im not entirely surely why, but I think it could help if any legal battles ensure over the ticket.
