+75 If you won, and started a business just for fun what would it be?

If your not worried about profitability and just want to experience being a business owner or be able to provide a service to the community what would you choose?

I was thinking along the lines of a cat Cafe, it will be a coffee shop, furnished by cats from the animal shelter and you can adopt the cats if you want, I would also throw in a separate gaming lounge in the next room, a few arcade machines, a ps2 with all the games, and maybe sell some pizza and burgers in the gaming lounge section

There's not much for teens and young adults to do in my area so I'm sure it would be a hit and I'd be providing at least 10 to 15 jobs to the community

Another more simple idea was a tiny home area, say 200 tiny homes, the rent will be super low, I would just be very strict on making sure the community looks nice and tidy, I'd probably offer rent to own as an option as well

+45 @FacelessPotatoPie Grilled cheese food truck. You pick your bread and your cheese and I grill it. Also will have gluten free and dairy free options (separated from the gluten stuff). Maybe a few side dishes and drinks of course. I’m actually working on improving my credit to I can make this a reality.

+25 @argleblather I have no desire to actually run a business. But if I were to own a business that other people could run- maybe a craft pub. One portion sells art supplies, the other has tables and tools and sells brews and snacks. So people can come make art together and hang out.

+14 @windowschick Winery. But it'd need to be one of those billion dollar jackpots because starting a winery is expensive and takes awhile to turn into a product.

+13 @bubonis I’m convinced there’s a market for (comparatively) inexpensive remanufactured cars. Buy 100 high mileage fleet cars at a time, strip them down, replace anything that’s consumable (gaskets, brakes, tires, etc) or worn (bushings, interior, etc), use parts from the cars that are too far gone to fix the others, rebuild everything (engine, transmission, etc), add some modern bits (backup camera, CarPlay head unit, etc), and sell them for maybe half to 2/3 cost of a brand new car with a solid warranty (3-5 years).

+11 @SofaKingHonest A genuinely employee owned restaurant. I would keep the funds to keep the lights on product, and repairs. The rest would be distributed to the workers. The trajectory would rest in their hands.
