If I were Filthy Rich

+70 How much is too much?

Even though I got a ticket for the powerball I'm not sure if I really want to hit a jackpot this big. I'm over 50, no kids, parents and wife have all passed and am currently not dating to my loss. I have no idea what I would really do with all that money, hell I'm not sure what I'm going to do with my house and savings when I pass now.

+50 @Zraja3 Go on holidays, buy up some properties and rent them out, follow amy passions you have or hobbies? You might find someone, you never know. Hope you win big. Send the luck this way. You can do anything.

+20 @MuttJunior With that amount of money (maybe somewhere around a half billion dollars with the lump sum payment and after taxes), you don't have to work anymore. Take a year and travel. See the world. Visit exotic locations so you can say "I've been there". Visit Longyearbyen, Norway, the most northern city in the world. Then book a ship to Antarctica. You'd even have enough money that you could book a trip to the International Space Station if you wanted. And what to do with it all when you pass, find a cause that you really care about, and leave it all to them (or split up if more than one cause). You said in a comment that your wife had Type 1 Diabetes. You could leave all your money and assets to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (or another organization like that).

+13 @Lanky_Possession_244 Any cause you want to support can now be supported. Be generous and keep what you need. Realistically a person your age could live a spectacular life on 20 million, leaving you hundreds to spend doing charity and giving back to the community. I'm 30 and I wouldn't keep more than 30 million for myself, and distribute some to my family.

+12 @taintedbow You could donate a portion of it to your fellow Redditor’s in this group lol.

+11 @Babegrrl3 Hell If it’s too much for you, we can split it
