If I were Filthy Rich
By RP_is_fun+54 Can I just say I find it hilarious that people think their morals somehow affect the lottery?
Am I the only one? Not only on this sub but in other lottery-related communities I will see posts/comments like "if you think like such and such you probably won't win" or "if you're too greedy you won't win."
Like bros... can I be real with you homies for a second? Statistics do not give a literal fuck about your feelings. You could think you're the most humble dude in the world who would accept a "measly" $20 million dollar winning lol... you ain't gonna win because of your moral compass. You could also be a serial killer and win.
I'm sorry... but I just find it absolutely hilarious that people think because they're virtuous or "more virtuous" than someone else that means they have a better chance. I mean shit, in my state a dude won $350k. His reason for "winning" you might ask? Because he wanted to get a higher prize than his daughter who won $100k+.
Now, you might look at that story and go "great! All I have to do is try!" But the only thing that has happened here is luck and probably a gambling addiction.
All that to say, have fun playing the lottery. But don't expect wins just because you think you're a better person than the next guy playing it lol.

+18 @EmphasisOutside9728 No, I think there's some truth to the whole concept. Like why doesn't the Great Pumpkin ever show up in Linus's pumpkin patch? Cause of his attitude, that's right. You just gotta believe! /s
+12 @SpaceViolet You are interacting with people who play the lottery. Do you think they have any concept of statistics or probability?
