+31 What is the isolated wealthy area of your state that folks buy a house in to not be bothered?

In certain areas of West Texas the real estate sells for a premium partly because of the isolation and it being hard to access from a major metro. This area is primarily concentrated around the Fort Davis, Marfa and Alpine areas of West Texas, but really, lots of other small towns in the 432 area code fit the isolation bill. -- The housing market in isolated Marfa, TX, Alpine, TX listings, too -- This is unbeknownst to a lot of folks even in Texas. If you're a celebrity or a high net worth individual living in a crowded urban or suburban area many times isn't the most desirable option. Also, you're not dependent on a job and thus don't need to live near a population center.

What's the comparable area in your state? Let me also clarify that it doesn't even have to be a wealthy area, just a place where it would be ideal to lay low and TMZ would balk at sending someone.

Edit: My own research has found Show Low, AZ to be a somewhat comparable area.

+19 @InanimateBabe I live in Jackson Hole, WY which is pretty much where all the wealthiest people hide out at. A huge majority of the houses out here are completely out of sight, but still have lots of beautiful land and mountains. Even the homes that are close to each other are very much hidden from each other. I should add that the actual town of Jackson Hole doesn't really count, but there still is some "isolation" here and there.

+13 @BlazingSpaceGhost Parts of rural northern New Mexico especially around Taos, Chama, and Santa Fe. Santa Fe though is more urban than the other two. If I won the lottery I definitely would be living in the wilderness out here. I rented a cabin for a year that was about 45 minute drive from the next city down a rural county road. I now live closer to my job but I really do miss that place.
