If I were Filthy Rich
By ScotWithOne_t+61 I would DoorDash dinner every night.
ok... almost every night. I would still go out a fair amount, and I'd still cook certain things, but the day-to-day meals? Fuck that. I'm so sick of the daily grind cooking for a half-hour, eating for 10-20 minutes, then cleaning for another half hour. I mean, if I'm super-rich I just have a chef and a maid, etc., but if I'm say, a $5M or $10M winner? I'd have enough to retire, but not live lavishly. $100/day on delivered meals (family of 4) would "only" be $36,500 a year.
EDIT: I think a lot of you are missing the point. I know DoorDash is not the ideal meal plan. The point is that I would enjoy not having to cook and clean dishes every single night. Just thought I'd post something other than mansions, supercars, and by-the-book investment strategies on this sub.

+34 @vendeep Another option is 'rent a chef'. There are semi wealthy families that share a chef / cook. The chef grocery shops, cooks and leaves. You provide the kitchen. I assume they clean up or a maid is available as well. Serving and cleanup is on you. I am okay with this option. Homemade meals that I can enjoy with a little bit of work. I dont have the source, but read this somewhere on reddit. Edit: posting another one of my comment here for visibility. likely OP isnt aware of the options. I am not sure how to put it eloquently. I catch myself in this type of thinking as well where current approach + money = increase of quantity of current approach. Instead I need to change current approach. Examples * eating uber eats + money = uber eats for all the time, when in reality it should be a private chef * flying economy + money = flying business class, when (depending on winning amount) you can charter a private flight Also, i did notice that when we live few decades eating poor tasting food, we would prefer to eat the same even when we have the means to eat better. Like the shitty taco bell still tastes okay because I am used to eating that in college and early working years. ~~A private chef~~ I can cook up a texmex meal, but it wont hit the spot because its missing the preservatives and other chemicals that my tongue is used to. Another example, It took me few years of eating freshly made pasta (from scratch) with freshly made alfredo sauce to realize how ~~shitty~~ not so great olive garden fettuccine alfredo really is.
+17 @coppish No thanks. That food sits for a good 30-45 minutes before it gets to you.
+14 @RetractableBadge You'd exhaust your options and get bored within a few months though? I order DD for lunch 3x-4x times a week and I'm over it. Might be better to subscribe to the meal box delivery services like Blue Apron, etc to get some variety and surprises.
