+55 Your gonna carry that weight

Powerball jackpot today is $89mil. Cash option is $47.1mil. If you took the cash, literally in cash, it would weigh just under 1,039 lb. in $100 bills.

Duffel bags obviously vary in size and weight capacity, but it's generally assumed that an average military duffel bag can carry up to 450 lbs. But that's pretty big so let's say we scale that down to a duffel that carries 200 lbs for good measure.

That's 5 duffel bags and a backpack. That's at least two trips for one person. If we're being honest, probably three to five trips.

According to vehq.com: Mid-size cars offer load capacities ranging from 850 to 925 pounds. So you're going to be pushing the limits of your mid- size car. That means you'll want to get a rental with some towing unless you own one already.

Depending on where you're taking the money (like a storage container so you can reenact that scene from Breaking Bad), your going to need a airways space for it.

Powerball.com says: Ten thousand $100 bills equals $1 million (10,000 x $100 = $1,000,000). Therefore, a $1 million stack of $100 bills is 43 inches tall (10,000 x . 0043 inches = 43 inches). A stack of one hundred dollar bills equaling $40,000,000 is 143.33 feet tall (40 x 3.5833 feet = 143.33 feet).

So, we're looking at 168.77 feet for our stack of $47.1mil. The average pallet is around 160 square feet. One pallet, a little over 1 foot tall for reference. And this is in 100 dollar bills, mind you.

That's 5 feet wide, 5 feet deep, and 6.75 feet tall. Your going to need a whopper of a safe.

My recommendation, after all of this, get a check.

+24 @quizzlie Pfft, I'll just ask for 47 1-million dollar bills and put them in my velcro He-Man wallet! Or the check. The check is good, too.
