I'm curious how much (maybe what percentage? ) everyone would spend right away, put aside and never touch, donate, give to family, etc.
I think I'd I won a big jackpot, I would put away at least 50%, never to be touched. I'm horrible with money, and I'm barely making it from paycheck to paycheck, so anytime I get any money in my hands, I feel like I've been doing without, so I splurge. But it wouldn't take much to improve my lifestyle. I feel like I'm going to need some money that is just there collecting interest so I can live off that if needed.

+17 @UnableClient9098 The way I would do it, is figure out how much I would need to live the way I like to live with a cushion and invest that much in a very secure bond where I could live off a 5% interest. So if I wanted to spend 1 million a year I would invest 25 million in a bond get the 1 million interest every year without touching the original 25. Let’s say you walked away with 100 million jackpot after taxes I probably give 10 to family 10 for my life upgrade and still have 55 million I would put in less secure mutual funds with higher growth potential.
