Imagine winning 100million or more, but then misplacing your ticket and not knowing. By the time you find your ticket and realize you were a winner, it’s now too late to claim your prize winnings.

I don’t think I’d ever recover from something like that.

I don’t think there was ever a 100million plus dollar unclaimed ticket, but there was an unclaimed 68 million dollar ticket in 2002 out of New York from Mega Millions.

Today, that would be worth close to 122 million dollars.

There was also a 77 million dollar unclaimed powerball ticket from Georgia in 2011

+30 @ATX_Giant84 I would, no joke, end my own life. I've been through enough, that that would just be too much.

+26 @Forward_Teach7675 I once found a ticket stuck between my truck seat and center console. When I saw that the draw date was almost a year ago, I just crumbled it and trashed it. I would not want to know I gave back millions. I have one of those clear pouches to keep my tickets in now. They are a good idea.

+11 @fruitloombob No. I wouldn't survive my next range day. Hell, im still kicking myself for selling my bitcoin in 2018 to pay off my student loans. 🙁

+11 @katrinaevening It would make for a great story for the game 2 truths and a lie.

+10 @Hungry-Number6183 It was bad enough when my dad had 5 of the six numbers of the state lottery many years ago, so close to winning 2.5 million. I don’t think I could handle finding an expired winning powerball ticket .
