If I were Filthy Rich

+35 How could I give people money without them knowing it was from me?

So, yes, I have put probably an inappropriate amount of time into planning to win the lottery. I'm looking for ideas for one of my many, many possible plans.

It would be great if I could keep my win a secret. Is there any way I could share the wealth with family without them figuring out that I was the source? I would like to gift ~some~ money to my extended family (aunts and cousins, no grandparents left, or uncles for that matter), if I could without it coming back to me, but if I couldn't, it wouldn't be as big of a deal. I'm not close with any of them anymore. So ideas for them would be good.

But if it was possible, I'd like to keep it from my siblings, mother and kids (12 & 15) too, while still sharing enough to make us all wealthy. What I mean is- is there any way to fake that we all came into <however much I want to share>? If I won a big jackpot, I would give them each a million at least. That would also explain why I was able to live so much better (if I was also a recipient of whatever made up source of the money). Or if there was a way to fake us all receiving regular payments from some source instead, that would be good too.

I feel like this scenario would be the best for my kids too, because it would explain why we had more money without them telling the world we were multimillionaires.

What do you think? What are your plans with regard to sharing the wealth?
