If I were Filthy Rich
By YouGotMunsoned+40 MM New Pricing Sales Numbers
I think people are probably curious as to how the sales numbers are gonna fare with the new pricing ($5) vs the old pricing ($2/$3).
I know there's a site that shows actual sales numbers but I can't remember which it is, so hopefully someone can get us exact figures. But I was looking at the number of winners last night vs the previous few drawings, and it looks to be a significant drop off.
Last night's drawing had roughly 218k winning tickets vs 380k on Friday, 388k last Tuesday, and 355k the previous Friday. That's about a 50% decrease in winners (or roughly sales).
Looks like people, so far, aren't thrilled with the price increase and sales are reflecting that. The jackpot increased from 54M to 72M, which is pretty in line with past increases at this level.

+11 @yallmemaybe I wasn't able to find sales figures for the whole country, but Texas posts their sales data in an easy to read format. Yesterday's draw had $2,182,705 in sales (state of Texas only). The last time the jackpot was around $54 million was on Jan 31st. On that day, Texas had $1,990,617 in sales. Definitely fewer players, but the price increase more than offset the drop in number of tickets sold.
