If I were Filthy Rich
By Ponklemoose+71 How would you tell your spouse/partner?
I am not the jumping up and down screaming type, and I work from home so it wouldn’t be too hard to quit (to focus on the paperwork) without anyone knowing.
So maybe I’d book us a vacation somewhere tropical with a “free” upgrade to 1st class and tell her when we walked into the penthouse. Or maybe drive to the “wrong” airport and tell her on the chartered jet.
How would you break the news?

+59 @WhaleTexture These answers are insane. So many people claiming they would never tell their partner or hide it from them? My partner is my everything. We've been together for approaching a decade and I can't imagine my life without her. If there's one thing I learned, it's open communication, and she would know the instant I did. I can't imagine a worse way to start a brand new chapter of our lives that hopefully would last the rest of our time on Earth than deceit.
+33 @No_Establishment8642 Depends on how sound the relationship is. My ex? oh hell no! I would be talking to lawyers and finance people first and he would find out from them during the proceedings. My partner? Hell yes, and he is a finance guy! As much as I can't stand cruises I would book a world tour via a small high-end cruise line that would include planes, trains, boats, bikes, automobiles, etc. and present the itinerary over his wonderful Sunday morning Bloody Marys on the veranda.
+24 @blckvlvt90 I work 100% remote and my husband has a new, stress free job that he loves and even jokingly said he would keep even when we won the lottery. Since I’m the one who checks the tickets I would say “remember when you said you’d keep that job you love if we won the jackpot lottery? It’s time to test that theory”

+18 @Quietlovingman I am separated but not divorced and have been for about 18 years. I would set up the winnings in a trust that makes payments to designated family members. The trust would notify her of her annuity since I am perfectly happy for her to get some. Just not any more than my brothers or son. She is honorable enough to not challenge it and try to take half for herself. And as I would have separated myself from it legally, it would not be part of any future divorce proceedings as we are both beneficiaries of the trust.
+17 @RevealActive4557 Have you heard that old joke about the man who won the lottery and he comes home screaming to his wife that he won the lotto and pack your bags? She asked if they are going to the beach or the mountains and he says "I don't care just get TF out." It works just as well if the genders are reversed. Personally I am not married but I have a sister and a son and a baby momma who I would take care of with a smile. I would not tell my coworkers even though I like them because I do not want endless requests for loans but maybe I would send them some money after I disappear as a goodbye gift. i would enjoy that too
+13 @cashcow25 I’d hand him the winning ticket and ask him if he could check it on his app because mine isn’t working, so that we can both experience seeing a jackpot win.
+12 @ValiXX79 I'll look her straight in the eyes and say: are you ready to change your life?? Ive exercised this moment countless times in my mind.
