+42 Mega Millions?

Soon the ticket price will increase to $5 and Im starting to question a few things.

Is it just me or does feel a little bit strange the locations that jackpots get hit. Seems as though the jackpots go in streaks. 2 of the last 4 MM jackpots goes to Texas. NJ hit the MM, then quickly the PB went to NJ again. Florida hit 2 MM jackpots in August of last year. Planting seeds around the country to encourage players to continue to pay and play?

Not calling a conspiracy, just thoughts on my mind. Curious as to what other people are thinking?

Curious as to what other people think? There is no negativity here, just would love other people to weigh in on their opinions.

If the Mega Millions ticket goes to $5, will you continue to buy tickets?

+147 @TrevorJordan Does it seem suspicious that the majority of winners are in states with larger populations? No.

+52 @romainelettucetho It’s a numbers game the states with more tickets sold are gonna have more jackpots won. Hell no I ain’t buying if MM hits 5 dollars for one ticket tho

+45 @mklinger23 If the price goes to $5, I will be just doing my state lotto. No way I'm paying $5 for a ticket.

+36 @gvillager You know what I think is really suspicious is that in the last 20 Megamillions drawings white ball 54 was drawn five times. I mean you take the the first digit of 54 and it's a 5, and the second digit is 4, only 1 less than 5. Meanwhile there are 70 white ball numbers, and of those 70 during the 20 last drawings 14 of those white ball numbers were never drawn. Four of those numbers are 4, 45, 46, and 47 and all of those numbers have the #4 in common. I'm curious as to what other people think of this. /s

+32 @celiacsunshine It makes sense that states with more people would also have more winners. When the Mega Millions ticket price increases to $5, I will only play when the advertised jackpot gets over $1 billion. So, maybe a couple of times per year.

+22 @5Series_BMW California, Florida, Texas, New York, and New Jersey are the leading sellers of Powerball and Mega Millions tickets so the jackpot tends to favor these states. Mega Millions: https://www.lottoreport.com/mm03sales.htm Powerball: https://www.lottoreport.com/mm03sales.htm

+15 @MadForestSynesthesia Life long lottery player. $5 a ticket.... I'm out!

+15 @Covid_45 I’ve been meaning to stop playing MM and PB, this price increase is just the motivation I need.  🤞🏻here’s to cutting both out in the new year and beyond.

+15 @TakingItPeasy They are raising it to 5?!?!?!?!? 1st I've heard of that. If it happens I'll play ALOT less. Sure it's fun to dream for a buck or 2, but getting 5 tickets for $10 or just 2 tickets doesn't blow my skirt up.

+13 @Fine_Tension_3601 Is it possible that the odds will go up when the price increases to $5? Seems like kind of an insane jump in price.

+11 @None Nope

+11 @vendeep Dang, conspiracy theorists are coming out of wood work here.

+10 @Cheap-Bathroom-4426 If it goes to $5, I will wait until the annuity jackpot hits over a billion for me to play.
