This is a question I think about off and on. I always wondered what would my first reaction be. Would I be happy and moved to tears? Would I be stunned and shocked? Would I immediately call my girlfriend and tell her? I thought about it and I honestly have no idea. So I want y’all thoughts on how you think you would first react to finding out you won the lottery.

+17 @AndromedaFire I play the uk lottery and euromillions via the app that we have so when you win a prize you get an email telling you to log in and check. If it’s a small prize it credits it to your account and if it’s a big one it tells you to call the lottery organiser Camelot. If I see the email I wouldn’t be super excited as it’s likely a small prize. When I open the app and it tells you to call Camelot I think I would be scared to get excited as that may lead to disappointment. When they tell me on the phone it’s a jackpot win they arrange someone to come see you to verify ID and make payment etc even when they person gets here I still think I would be too worried to let myself get excited and maybe wouldn’t even tell anyone including family yet. Once the verification has gone through and it’s triple checked and confirmed then I think I would let myself get excited and tell my wife. I don’t think it would fully become real until the money clears into my account but when it does then I think I would break down and cry staring at the bank statement. Understanding that I now never have to worry about bills, rent etc ever again. I think crying with happiness and relief would become a regular part of my life for a while, buying a new car, getting the keys to my first house.

+15 @GhotyoLocanisyn4ever I would nonchalantly say “bruh, youve gotta be fkucing kidding me”. Since its on the app, i dont need to recheck the numbers. Itll just tell me if I won. also i cant raise my emotions too high coz epilepsy. Then i would calmly plan out everything im gonna do In a responsible manner.
